Football

Harrison played footbal for his middle school this year, Kirk helped coach.  He seemed to have a great time and learned a lot.  I noticed 2 things while he played.  He sure is handsome in that uniform and he isn't in the 90th percentile for height and weight like he was when he was 2!

Cinderella (with a black eye) Rides Her Tricycle

These pictures were taken September 6th.  Jia loves dressing up in the princess dresses that we have accumulated from our many friends.  Of course, there is no reason a princess should stay inside so she decided to ride her tricycle in full costume.  Lillie Mei decided to hang out on the swing while Jia scooted along.

Apple Orchard

I'm behind again so I'm just going to post from today and then work my way backwards.

Today my mom and I took the kids to an apple orchard in Flat Rock.  I have been before with the pre-school but never on a Saturday.  It was unbelievably crowded but the weather was gorgeous.  At SkyTop Orchard they have animals, hay rides, play equipment, and apples, of course.  Other than apples, apple doughnuts, apple cider, and the pumpkins I bought, the only money we spend was the $2 per person to ride the hay ride.  You can't beat that.  The kids had a great time, it might just have to become a new family tradition!

Life with Two Older Brothers

My boys often think of their little sisters as their opportunity to throw people around, literally.  They love to pick them up, flip them, you name it-they've tried it.  After many warnings, a fall finally happened.  Jia fell right on her nose.  She scraped her nose a little but seemed fine.  The next day the black eye appeared.  It turned many colors before finally looking normal again.  I'm afraid it won't be the only "boo-boo" caused by the big brothers!

Harrison's First Day

Harrison began his last year of middle school on Wednesday, August 25th (yes I'm almost a month behind).  He may be 13 but I still get to take pictures on the first day of school.

The Girls' First Day of School

The girls are going to pre-school at Trinity every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00-12:00.   They weren't too sure about their first day, actually Jia really didn't understand what was about to happen.  We had visited 2 times and talked a lot about how Mommy comes back to get you but I really don't think she understood.  So, we had some tears but not a horrible fit.  I kept my cell phone with me everywhere I went that morning, just in case.  But she made it and they were both very happy to see me at 12:00!

Zeke's First Day of School

This year the kids started school on different days. Zeke started Monday, August 23rd.  The girls started Tuesday and Harrison started Wednesday.  I cannot believe Zeke is in the 4th grade!  It seems like just yesterday he was that toothless 3 year old walking down the hall at Trinity Pre-school!  He is now starting his 8th year at Trinity Christian School (3 in pre-school).  We are very pround of him and how God continues to use and guide him.

Each year the boys pick their breakfast for the first day of school.  Zeke has 2 favorites, chocolate chip pancakes and chocolate 'n biscuits.  He discussed this with Harrison and they decided that one would request the pancakes and one would ask for the biscuits and they would get both!  Smart boys I have!

Here he is eating his pancakes, with his dog, Boomer, and then with his wonderful teacher, Mrs. Crotts.  We are looking forward to a great  year!
