Jia didn't wake up this morning until almost 8:00. Lillie Mei, however, was up before 6:00. We took turns going to breakfast which was kind of nice. At 9:30 we headed to the zoo. Our guide took us to the "Panda House" first which was so crowded you couldn't get a really good look. We saw one panda when we were here in 2007 but we got to see several today. They are beautiful animals. After the pandas we walked around the zoo by ourselves which was great. We could stay longer at the exhibits the girls were interested in and bypass others. It wasn't a huge zoo when compared to the Asheboro Zoo but a nice size. Most of the exhibits were decent but I am sure it would be shut down if it was in America for safety violations. The girls both behaved really well. Jia is frightened of the animals so we didn't linger anywhere too long. Lillie Mei was asleep before we left at 12:30 and slept through lunch. After lunch we came back to the room and are just letting the girls play until dinner at 6:00. |
